Element Merlot 2008
(Swan Valley)
The fruit for this wine
comes from old vines in the heart of the Swan
Valley and significantly from premium vineyards
in Margaret River. The quintessential element
of this wine is the lovely fragrance and flavours
of fresh plums. All this is supported by subtle
citrus-like French oak nuances and soft, silky
tannins.

Element Shiraz Cabernet 2008
(Swan Valley)
The 2005 Element Shiraz
Cabernet Sauvignon defines all that is great about
this classic Australian blend. Beautiful ripe,
sweet and juicy dark berry flavours with hints
of Shiraz spiciness and Cabernet eucalypt. The
vanillin oak characters mingle enticingly through
the blend with the texture of the wine weighted
by soft and furry tannins. This wine although
drinking superbly now will certainly mature and
age for at least another five years.

Sandalford Element Classic
White 2009
(Swan Valley)
The 2007 Classic White is
made from three varieties eminently suited to
the warmer climes, which prevail in the SW of
Western Australia. However, given this warmer
climate all these varieties have been picked a
little, “greener” than they normally would. This
strategy gives a grassier and more herbaceous
edge to the wine with a somewhat fresher and crisper
mouth feel, than would exist had the fruit been
left to ripen to full maturity. The nose is brimming
with cut grass, fresh honeydew melon and a hint
of tropical guava. This all translates to the
palate with the added zest provided by the natural
acid backbone of the fruit. Certainly this is
a drink-now wine. The wine should be served well
chilled. Classic White is a great drink just on
its own or accompanied with the freshest of foods,
particularly seafood.

Sandalford
Estate Reserve Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2009
(Margaret River)
The nose is redolent of
nettle, lightly mown grass and ripe gooseberries.
The palate is zesty with the characters on the
nose filtering through in to what is a classic
dry white wine style, made famous in Western Australia.
There is a certain enticing minerality to this
year's wine. SSB by any measure is best drunk
whilst young and fresh. Serve well chilled and
match with all manner of seafood. This wine won
a Gold medal at International wine competition
2006 - Sydney and a Blue Gold medal at International
Top 10 wines competition 2006 - Sydney
